Rachmaninoff: Symphonic Dances
Symphonic Dances was Sergei Rachmaninoff’s last work and he summoned every bit of his vast resources in this vivid orchestral showpiece. WSO Composer-in-Residence Harry Stafylakis’ Into Oblivion is his second collaboration with the outstanding Canadian bass-baritone Phillippe Sly. The text comes from The Ship of Death by D.H. Lawrence.
